At Lynn University, we do things a little differently. iPad-powered learning, accelerated degrees and conversations instead of lectures. Students come from all over the globe to immerse themselves in Lynn's culture and community.

With approximately 3,500 students from over 100 countries, our student population is 17% international—creating a unique and inclusive atmosphere. In fact, we have consistently ranked as one of the Most Diverse Colleges in America and for Most International Students. We've also been recognized for our innovative learning, teaching and campus environment.

When it comes to studying at Lynn, our small class sizes allow for personalized instruction. Our Burton D. Morgan College of Aeronautics also offers an individualized approach to teaching, which is known to be highly effective. The college's FAA checkride pass rate is 95%— well above the national average of 85%. The college provides many opportunities to learn by doing through hands-on experiences with flight simulators, logging real flight time and taking off-campus field trips, while also offering an award-winning curriculum and professional development. Plus, it's only five minutes from Lynn's main campus.

If you're thinking about an aviation degree, our aeronautics college offers four different bachelor's programs:

  1. Aviation management
  2. Aviation operations
  3. Aviation security
  4. Professional pilot

As a student in the aviation management program, you'll learn to manage and maintain operations while also keeping an eye on the future of the business. The aviation operations program teaches you aircraft operations, air traffic basics and aviation technologies. Or it could be that you're interested in our aviation security program, where you work with law officials to ensure the safety of airports, aircrafts and passengers.

Want to take to the skies quickly? Our professional pilot program is the way to go. By keeping the number of students in the professional pilot program to under 100 each year, we offer a boutique learning experience that ensures plenty of real-world flight time in as early as your first week of instruction.

Career opportunities in aviation

Today, career opportunities in aviation are incredibly varied, and many of these roles are in high demand. By 2027, the aviation industry is expected to see a 5% growth rate. There are many career paths to take as an aviation professional. You could work toward becoming a charter, commercial or professional pilot. Lynn's graduates are among the industry's highly trained pilots and airline professionals serving roles at American Airlines, JetBlue, National Guard, NetJets, Spirit Airlines and the U.S. Air Force.

You may also enjoy life in airport management, leading others in maintaining efficiency from the runway to baggage claim. Or you can stay behind the scenes in fields like air traffic control, flight dispatching, crew scheduling or safety inspection. The business side of aviation can also be exciting. As an aviation operations manager, you will ensure that FAA regulations are met, manage air traffic and ground controllers, as well as lead the hiring process.

No matter which path you choose, the aviation industry is looking for organized, multi-tasking problem-solvers just like you. Learn more at lynn.edu/aviation.
